it's a neighbors club activity!
no wait! don't close the tab yet! as the cut text said, the neighbors club will be running a more low-key one-on-one activity for july and august. don't be daunted by the timeframe, this is actually to give the participants as much time oocly and icly as possible to play out the event!

basically, the neighbors club wants to get back to basics and check in on the progress people have made in what's supposed to be the club's actual mission: befriending people. so in true friendless loser fashion, they're going to do it in the most losery way possible, by taking the mission part literally and assigning targets (yes like assassins) to participants who'll be befriending them by following a check list of activities which include wholesome and not-at-all disturbing tasks like arranging a meet-cute, learning your prospective friend's likes and dislikes, house, suite number, work schedule... and those are just the level one tasks! yes i said level one. these are all laid out in a check list which will be called a quest list because sena.

this is why the activity will span over two months, to give people time to accomplish items on the list, level up to unlock new tasks until they are friendmaking assassins masters.


the quick details!
DURATION: the middle of the month of july (july 17th) to the end of august OOCly / day 114 to the equivalent august date ICly
PARTICIPATION: we'll be needing two types of participants: characters who'll be the targets and characters who'll be trying to befriend those targets! for target characters, we're especially looking for people who don't have preexisting CR with the neighbors club or came in during the june round! but as usual, this activity is open to all! we'll be opening sign-ups until july 7th and have the match-ups posted by the 9th/10th!
FORMAT: on july 17th we'll be posting one catch-all log for the interactions in this activity but feel free to handwave as much as you need to and some are open to be played out via the network or ic inboxes! we're not going to be super-strict about what you really do with the activity, just have as much fun with it as you can!
ICly: We'll be foregoing the usual network announcement! The characters who'll be doing the befriending will be contacted by either Sena or Yozora informing them of the activity and the usual threats/whinging/haranguing to motivate them to participate, a copy of the quest list and a picture/video of their assigned target.

For "target" characters, they would have been ICly scouted out by Sena and Yozora as viable potential targets, whether over the network or just sena being a total creepy lurker around god houses. Ideally the targets would be kept unaware of this being an actual activity (for the lulz) but it's up to the players of the matched pair if they'd like to go in a different direction!

no seriously this is what happens when one of the people running the event gets their friendship practice by playing dating simulation games.

The full quest list is over here including the table coding! As you can see each task has a corresponding amount of points and completing all of them will "unlock" the next level. ICly characters will only get the level 2 and up list of tasks once they get all the tasks done! they can inform yozora and/or sena that they've completed their current level and in turn they'll receive an evaluation: filling out a questionnaire form!

because they'd want receipts and to know what is friend ok. oocly we can just handwave the interaction (which could range from completely ignoring the questionnaire form to sena giving her totally unsolicited and unhelpful tips) BUT if you'd like to play it out, we can do it through either sena or yozora's ic inboxes!

there'll be new questionnaires for each level with an ascending degree of like. disturbing because on level one it might be a simple HERE IS A BIODATA FILL IT OUT WITH YOUR TARGET'S INFO but level two and up might just have questions that seem like the people who made it totally just took stuff from the big old character survey of doom (maybe).

again this is totally optional and totally ignorable ICly. throw it out or like set it on fire in front of sena even.


sign-ups!
As mentioned earlier, this activity will need two kinds of participants: targets and uh befriend...ers.....? whatever. using the form below, please reply to one of the two sign-up threads depending on whichever role you want your character to be in. as much as we'd love to completely randomize this activity, given its nature we'd like to match up people with compatible playing styles for ease of playing! we'll close sign-ups on july 7th and post the match-ups on july 9th/10th! please let us know if your character has been matched up with one they have CR with already!




lastly!
We're not really going to police how much you guys want to do with the event. Just do what looks fun! And if your character isn't the type who'd willingly participate, that's what Yozora is for!

Also we'd like to stress that because of the long duration and one-on-one nature of the event, please sign up knowing you have to commit enough time to do this without dropping out of the event abruptly. If you are unable to continue with the event, please let us know asap so we can arrange for a new assignment for your partner!
